Quantum Asteroid Miner
A downloadable game for Windows
You are an miner in a quantum asteroid field. Use your plasma torch to detroy asteroids or reveal them to be monsters. All asteroids are potentially monsters and only by interacting with them can you determine if they are harmless rocks or not. Change the color of your beam to manipulated the likelihood of of certain asteroids turning into monsters.
WASD + mouse (movement, left mouse key, scrollwheel)

Haha, I really enjoyed the game! Does it use a random number generator to determine whether a stone is 'evil' or not? How does the torch affect this mechanic?
To be honest it was made in such a rush, in the last hours of a game jam when it became clear that our teams initial concept wouldn't work out so the team splintered into smaller groups and made new ideas in a real frenzy. So I don't remeber exactly how the code is structured, but from what I can remeber yes it is an RNG. However I think the torch has different power settings which let's you mine faster but increases the probability of an asteroid turning out to be a monster. So you can mine slow and safe or fast and dangerously. At least I think that was the idea. Glad you enjoyed it!
